The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, recently made strong statements about the former President of the Spanish government. Almagro advised Zapatero to “not be an idiot,” adding that someone who needs explanations seven times must be suffering from a degree of ignorance. Those of us who follow the Venezuelan crisis cannot help but agree with Almagro, as Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is little more than an apologist for the regime of Nicolas Maduro. Although this reality is not lost on experts, American intelligence sources have informed and shown this portal that Zapatero’s involvement with chavismo goes beyond mere apologia. Zapatero is, in fact, a recipient of chavista “generosity”: that is, chavismo finances his travels.
It turns out that Majed Khalil Majzoub, one of the preferred frontmen for Diosdado Cabello and Delcy and Jorge Rodriguez, received specific instructions from the Rodriguez siblings to avoid leaving financial traces that could reveal travel costs and accommodations paid by the chavismo for negotiators of the so-called “dialogue” between chavismo and the opposition. To achieve this, they used a travel agency registered in Florida, CONTINENTAL BOOKING & TRAVEL CORP (EIN 80-0915782), managed by Noreidis Hernandez Jimenez (a front for Khalil), to coordinate and organize Zapatero’s trips. And the issue doesn’t end there: despite having closed this company in September 2015, Noreidis Hernandez and her team continued to act as special travel agents for Zapatero.
It’s not surprising that a former president of Spain would engage in such activities for so little (air tickets and hotel accommodations), within the framework of a “dialogue” between the regime and the opposition that has only bolstered chavismo’s hold on power. It should be noted that the infamous former judge Baltasar Garzón and former French Prime Minister Domenic de Villepin have also served the worst of chavismo in corrupt schemes. Not to mention other associates of Hugo Chavez, such as Pablo Iglesias, Juan Carlos Monedero, Iñigo Errejón and others. Moreover, the Venezuelan boliburguesía is laundering hundreds of millions of ill-gotten dollars in Spain, and the authorities who dare to speak about this are few and far between, if not nonexistent.
Just two days ago, the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned Jorge and Delcy Rodriguez. This sanction, combined with a file in the hands of the FBI that contains records of flights, airlines, accommodations, costs, etc., demonstrating the chavista “generosity” towards Zapatero, should prevent any attempt by the “idiot” to interfere in negotiations about the future of Venezuela.
