U.S. Government Doubles Reward for Nicolás Maduro Amidst Allegations of Global Drug Trafficking and Terrorism Links

The United States government has increased the bounty on Nicolás Maduro to $50 million for information leading to the arrest of the dictator, leader of the Cartel of the Suns, a specially designated global terrorist organization (SDGT) with ties to other transnational criminal organizations.

This was announced by Pam Bondi, the Attorney General of the United States, who accused Maduro of using foreign terrorist organizations to smuggle lethal drugs into American territory.

Among these criminal groups, the head of the U.S. Department of Justice pointed out the Tren de Aragua, the Sinaloa Cartel, and the Cartel of the Sons.

Seizures Linked to Maduro

The Secretary of Justice reported that, to date, the DEA has seized cocaine—specifically 30 tons—whose shipments are connected to the Venezuelan dictator.

Pam Bondi clarified that seven tons of these shipments are directly linked to Nicolás Maduro himself, forming a crucial source of income for the cartels based in Venezuela and Mexico. She noted that “the cocaine is often mixed with fentanyl, leading to the loss and destruction of countless American lives.”

Additionally, the U.S. Attorney General reported that her office seized “over $700 million in assets linked to Maduro, including two private planes, nine vehicles, and more.” She lamented that despite these actions, Maduro’s reign of terror continues.

Bondi labeled Maduro as one of the world’s largest drug traffickers and a threat to U.S. security. For this reason, the U.S. government raised the bounty on Nicolás Maduro and decided to double it to $50 million for any information that leads to his arrest.

“Under President Trump’s leadership, Maduro will not escape justice and will be held accountable for his heinous crimes. If you have any information to bring this criminal to justice, call 202 3074228 or go online,” stated Attorney General Bondi.
