Dear Mr. de la Espriella,
I understand that you are sending communications to publications where I collaborate and those that have echoed my research on your client, Alex Saab, the president of Fondo Global de Construcción.
It seems you are a criminal lawyer, one of the “most recognized in recent years in Colombia,” if we are to believe Wikipedia’s claims.
I also comprehend that you have “extensive experience as a litigator, advisor, and legal consultant,” and that you “have always conducted your work with absolute discipline, responsibility, and transparency…”
Well, given your impeccable track record and adherence to the rule of law, along with your professional discipline, accountability, and transparency, I invite you to publish, wherever you see fit, evidence that I am a “fugitive from Venezuelan justice,” as you argue in the aforementioned communications.
If you find it challenging to secure a publication willing to publish such evidence, I encourage you to send it to me at alek.boyd@gmail.com, with the promise that it will be published without edits on this website.
When you publish or decide to send me the requested evidence, please don’t forget to mention:
1- in which Venezuelan court there is an open case against me;
2- case number;
3- name of the prosecutor;
4- name of the presiding judge;
5- what I am being accused of;
6- the date the public ministry or accusing party initiated the case against me, so I can determine how long I have supposedly been “fugitive.”
I would greatly appreciate the requested information as soon as possible. Otherwise, I might think that you are of such incompetence that you have just provided sufficient reasons to undermine any reputation you have enjoyed up until the publication of this open letter.
I sign off with all due respect and a firm commitment to thoroughly investigate your client’s business dealings in Venezuela, their “long-standing” friendship with Piedad Córdoba, the alleged money laundering in which they may be involved, their international network of companies, partners, and properties.
Sincerely,
A Boyd
