A military tank lost its brakes inside the Red Patio of the General Command of the Army this Tuesday, just as preparations were underway for a graduation ceremony for the Professional Troop, which will be led by Nicolás Maduro. Although there were no serious injuries reported, a military personnel experienced what they call a “whiplash.” This incident once again highlights the severe operational deterioration and lack of maintenance of Venezuelan military equipment. A war hasn’t even started, and some equipment is already inoperative.
Hours later, the regime activated the setup for a propaganda ceremony for Maduro to symbolically present degrees and repeat his narrative of “total unity” within the FANB. The event is set to take place on Wednesday at 14:00 hours in the Red Patio of Fuerte Tiuna.
According to the internal circular, attendees are required to wear tactical patriotic uniforms, vests, green scarves (not pixelated), hats, and no weapons. Accreditation will occur at the O’Leary Battalion at 08:00 hrs on the same day. The personnel will attend as an audience, limited to the bleachers.
This staging aims to simulate institutional cohesion, while the reality inside the barracks is quite different: desertions, operational crises, and widespread discontent.
Internal sources assert that the main objective is for Maduro to deliver a propaganda speech about the “monolithic unity” of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), despite the evident cracks within its command structure.
