On the main avenue of Porlamar, known as 4 de mayo, you will see signs that read: “ISLAM IS PEACE.” This is a subtle way to indicate that you are entering a territory occupied by Islamic invaders.
Islamists are quite active on Margarita Island, having opened schools, built mosques, and established meeting centers in the most important municipalities. Due to illicit financial activities like money laundering, they have become a powerful force in the local and national economy. The tragedies witnessed in Europe and Argentina could easily repeat themselves in Margarita. The risk is imminent.
In the commercial center of the Island, Porlamar, specifically on Maneiro street, near the famous Gomez and Guevara boulevards, are establishments that serve as warehouses for goods. However, in reality, these are hideouts where undocumented immigrants from the Middle East spend the night.
START OF THE WORKDAY
Around 5:00 AM, you can observe the arrival of Syrian mafia bosses in pickup trucks. They handle logistics, transportation, and care for the hordes of newly arrived illegal immigrants on the Island.
It is quite hard to witness the start of the workday. Mafia members open the establishments, and you can see dozens of Arabs sleeping on cardboard boxes. The mafia awakens them and mobilizes the immigrants to various businesses in the area. This is how they spend their day working illegally. At night, they are taken back to sleep in these warehouses. This routine continues for months as the mafias regularize their situation and provide them with documentation that eventually legalizes them. Mafia connections with SAIME or the state identification office play a crucial role. The bribes can be quite significant, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The Arabs, mainly Syrians, do not speak Spanish, do not engage in social activities, and suddenly, in a few months, they appear with cars, businesses, lots of money, and their papers in order, yet still not speaking Spanish. Who said organized crime doesn’t bring economic benefits?
UNANSWERED QUESTIONS
How do these undocumented individuals enter the country? Who is part of the human trafficking network? What criminal activities do these immigrants engage in? Are they Islamic mercenaries disguised as illegal workers? These are unanswered questions, with no authorities taking action. Ultimately, Venezuela is a failing state adrift, with no one held accountable.
EXTRA: Another group of Turkish origin has appeared in Nueva Esparta. They call themselves SADAKATASI, and their representative is Haci Altun. They will start cultural centers, schools, and “social” projects in prisons and marginalized neighborhoods on the Island.
