Hezbollah’s Venezuela Leader Exposes Critical Failures in Electoral Registry

I’m currently reading an undefined book about a supposed infiltration of the transnational terrorism world by a Spanish undercover journalist named Antonio Salas. While I’m not prepared to take everything Salas wrote at face value, there’s an undeniable wealth of information in the book that allows anyone with a basic interest to follow the leads.

A case in point: Teodoro Rafael Darnott, alleged leader of Hezbollah Venezuela. I published an article about Hezbollah Venezuela written by Gustavo Coronel back in September 2006. At that time, Salas was supposed to be in Venezuela and met Teodoro Rafael Darnott. But what caught my attention about this individual was the birth date published by Salas in the book. So, I had to dig a little into Venezuela’s electoral registry. Below are my findings.

Therefore, the question is: how many undetected errors can there be in an electoral registry that hasn’t been properly audited by independent parties? Keep in mind, if an individual can have two entries in the registry with the same name, who can guarantee that the electoral results in Venezuela are free and fair?
