Bolipuertos Launches Controversial Unified Billing Counter Amid Promises of Improved Service in Puerto Cabello

12-05-2017 07:00:00 a.m. | Emen.- Bolivariana de Puertos (Bolipuertos) has launched a Unique Billing Counter in Puerto Cabello, a unit that will streamline procedures and payment operations, as well as serve as a dedicated space for customers, addressing their concerns or inquiries immediately.

The event was led by Bolipuertos’ vice president, Lucía Rodríguez, along with authorities from the Central Headquarters and the Unique Authority in the Central Region and General Manager of Puerto de Puerto Cabello, G/D. Rafael Aguana Núñez, who officially launched this module that integrates the services of six billing centers into one, reported Bolipuertos on its website.

In this context, the Unique Authority of the Central Region explained that the realization of this project brings benefits that will enhance the service provided by the port terminal. “This innovative counter covers everything from document reception to invoice issuance and payment collection,” she emphasized.

Aguana added that operational optimization is in continuous development. “Our port has highly trained staff who design and implement immediate solutions for the extensive client base of Bolipuertos,” he said.

The Unique Billing Counter consists of two modules
, the first located in the reception area of the Administrative Headquarters, where billing related to the Port Operators Registration System (SROP), scale services, silos, and document reception for ship planning will be attended to; the second is located within the primary zone, specifically in yard 5, where invoices for services and fees related to cargo and goods dispatch will be issued.

In conclusion, G/D Aguana noted that once the benefits of implementing this project are assessed, new functions will be integrated to expand the services offered in each section. Additionally, plans are underway for the future installation of the Unique Export Counter, which will facilitate all processes related to this activity.
