Avior Airlines is currently under investigation by European authorities for safety issues.

The European Union has announced it will renew the ban on this airline from flying into European territory.

The ban from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency excludes the airline from flying over Schengen airspace, citing safety concerns due to the airline’s outdated fleet of Boeing 737s, which are over 40 years old.

The United States has also imposed aviation sanctions on Avior Airlines for safety reasons.

In addition, Europol has announced investigations into Alfredo Vergara, Jorge, and Roberto Antonio Añez, among other shareholders and executives of the airline, for their involvement in corruption cases, money laundering linked to the Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, and financial crimes related to crypto scams.

According to media reports, Avior executives are allegedly involved in smuggling strategic materials and drug trafficking due to their connections with a cartel known as the “Alumineros” or Orinoco Cartel.

The United States and its security and organized crime agencies should closely monitor Avior Airlines, as it is unclear how many other crimes its executives and shareholders are involved in.

Nothing good!
