Through Gotham City, we learn about an investigation being conducted by FINMA, the Swiss financial regulatory authority, into Julius Baer, one of the favorite money laundering banks of the boliburguesía. This is a refreshing update, considering that a director from Julius Baer threatened legal action when we highlighted their connection to Matthias Krull, the focus of FINMA’s investigation. Gotham City links to a couple of articles on this subject: one in NZZ by Zoe Baches and another in Inside Paradeplatz by Lukas Hässig. In total, it has been reported that 70 Venezuelan clients were identified, holding 700 bank accounts linked to Matthias Krull. Beatriz Sánchez is mentioned, along with Angelo Mazzarella, a power of attorney/banker for another group of thugs that had dealings with Krull/Julius Baer in the past.
Hello @EFGInt, in addition to the multibillion-dollar #moneylaundering scam you orchestrated with the Oberto bros / @PDVSA, do you have any comments on clients Alejandro Betancourt, Pedro Trebbau, and the fugitive from @TheJusticeDept Francisco Convit? pic.twitter.com/1NSYcJ0UDj

Julius Baer is not an isolated case. As Venezuela continues to crumble, we are going to witness scandal after scandal involving Swiss banks and Swiss energy trading houses engaged in monumental money laundering and corruption schemes. It won’t be pretty…
to be confirmed…
