This site delved into a report on the criminal activities of Alex Saab in Ecuador. There is little that we do not already know about Saab. However, there are a couple of surprising claims that caught our immediate attention: Luis Giusti, former CEO of PDVSA and current board member of CITGO (appointed by the “interim presidency” of Juan Guaidó), allegedly flew on a plane (N1459A) purportedly owned by Alex Saab, accompanied by Saab’s drug partner, Germán Rubio (also known as Álvaro Pulido).
Another name mentioned in the report is Eduardo Pantin Shortt, who along with his brother Gerardo leads Cementaciones Petroleras Venezolanas (CPVEN). Like Saab, the Pantin Shortt brothers have secured contracts worth billions from PDVSA.
The full report is available here. It would be extremely beneficial if the authors could publish the evidence they claim to have seen, so that both the Treasury Department and the Justice Department can investigate Saab’s connections with those mentioned.
