Google Alerts are an amazing tool, as they allow anyone interested in a specific topic to stay updated on the information indexed by Google. While there’s a lot being published these days, I find it particularly fascinating that Smartmatic’s blogs are starting to resurface. And I repeat, because if my memory serves me right, Smartmatic employees crafted a similar online reputation management strategy back in 2006. Given how quickly this company tends to get into trouble, I don’t think it will be long before the current campaign is dropped. Wikipedia entries, blogs, and LinkedIn pages can’t really hide this sort of information about Smartmatic.
